New single “Imagine” out now!

Hi there, dear friends!

Today, my new single “Imagine” from the upcoming album “Songs to Hold You” is out in the world.

The song came to me last year and refused to leave.

Performing it live has always felt hard to describe – it’s almost as if the song is simply using me to put itself out in the world rather than me singing it.

I recorded this version in my home studio, with my piano felt-damped, and it led me to a different direction than the live performances. More quiet and intimate perhaps. Mihkel’s way of playing the double-bass changed, too. In the end, we recorded both his ethereal, airy bow strokes as well as pizzicato notes, and wove them together as layers.
